Who We Are

South Asians in Visual Arts (SAVA) is a nonprofit collective dedicated to cultivating, connecting, and championing South Asian creative and technical talent across the Animation, Video Games, VFX, and AR/VR industries.

Historically, South Asian narratives in global media have been underrepresented or viewed through narrow lenses. SAVA exists to change that paradigm. We bridge the gap between creative heritage and cutting-edge visual storytelling, empowering diaspora and global artists—from storyboard artists and character designers to visual effects leads, narrative directors, and pipeline technologists.

Through community programming, industry panels, portfolio reviews, mentorship, and creative showcases, SAVA is actively building an ecosystem where South Asian creators can thrive, collaborate, and define the future of mainstream visual entertainment.

Our Vision: To make South Asian voices, mythologies, contemporary experiences, and artistic vision an integral, celebrated force in global visual arts and entertainment.
